A four-page handwritten letter of Jobo Moshesh to the Reverend Father A. Thomson, St. Cuthbert's, expressing concern about the Bishop's health, the religion of witchcraft among Africans, the manifestation of fear in the concrete form of the Tikolosh.
Moshesh discusses the prevalence of superstition and the practice of witchcraft among the native clergy. He goes on to relate a period in his childhood that lasted around six months where the Tikolosh tormented him in his dreams and he had to go and sleep in his grandmother's hut to feel secure.
The second single page letter is an answer from Moshesh to the Reverend Thomson who appears to have asked permission to use material from his first letter.
