This lot comprises the following three scarce Boer War pamphlets, all 1st. editions:T
1. T.Froes. Expelled from The Randt. 1899. W.H. Taylor, Cape Town. 32pp. pamphlet in printed stapled brown wraps. A small label has been removed from the top of the front panel leaving an abrasion, otherwise a very good copy of this scarce and fragile item. SABIB Vol.2, Page 299.
2. (John Bradley). A Pottery Man's Journal of the Siege of Kimberley. 1900. Townsend, Taylor and Snashall. Cape Town. 63pp. pamphlet in printed stapled buff wraps. 12mm. tear with a small chip at the lower edge of the front wrapper, otherwise a very good copy of this fragile pamphlet. The author's name is written in pencil on the front wrapper and the title page. Very scarce. SABIB Vol.1, Page 270 identifies only 3 copies.
3. Walter Walsh. The Briton and the Boer. An appeal from Philip drunk to Philip sober. nd. (1901). James P. Matthew & Co. 24pp. stapled pamphlet in printed buff wraps. The cover states: Seventh Thousand. Third Year of the War. A statement on the verso of the front wrapper states that the first 16pp. are a reprint from the 1st. edition of 1899. The subsequent pages contain new comments. There is some fraying and splitting of the wrappers over the spine but still an about very good copy of this scarce and fragile item.SABIB Vol. 4, Page 715.
4. Anon. Some Comments on the Report of the Ladies Commission On The Concentration Camps. nd. (1902). South African Conciliation Committee. 16pp. stapled pamphlet. In very good condition. This is no. 93 of the 104 pamphlets published by the Conciliation Committee - they were issued individually and later complete in 3 bound volumes. Individual issues are very scarce. SABIB Vol. 4, Page 291.
