Althea (Allie) ALFORD, Friendship Album started in 1858, two pages with Civil War 12th Connecticut Soldiers sentiments.

Includes numerous pencilled genealogical notes,. Civil War Album Amicorum, small full leather quarto, 44 pages filled with original poetry and various sentiments, two pages bearing the signatures of Charles E. Sherman, First Sergeant Company H., 12th Regiment Connecticut Volunteers, and Joseph R. Toy, Captain of the same Company and Regiment, both dated November 29th 1861. A note underneath Joe’s entry informs us that he died in New Orleans June 21st 1862.Good overall condition, one page torn but kept inside the album. Bears the J. C. Riker embossed stamp on front leaf.
