A journey along the railway described for the tourist, settler and sportsman; includes details of fares, and a map of the route on the back board. Full of fascinating information on the landscape, game, attractions and possibilities, as well as giving much information on accommodation and facilities. An uncommon piece of railway history.

Although the first edition is mostly given as 1909, there is an ownership dated 1905 in the prelims, which suggests that it is the first edition of 1902 which was published just after the completion of the line. Subsequent editions had a lesser number of pages.

In paper-covered boards with cloth spine, 92 pp with black & white plates throughout, map in outside of back cover. 24cm. Corners bumped. Book is disbound, but covers and textblock are intact. Page 79 is loose.
