The author was strongly against slavery and gives his views on the subject. SABIB, 2/357. mendelssohn, 1/609. A reasonable ex-library copy of this scarce work on the Cape of Good Hope. Bound in contemporary leather, binding restored with clear tape, binding shaken with some text working loose, library-stamp on verso of title-page, folding frontispiece is torn and has been restored (no loss of engraving), quite heavy foxing or browning
