The front page of this issue contains a Proclamation (in English and Dutch) by Field Marshall Roberts addressed to the Inhabitants of the South African Republic guaranteeing personal safety to citizens and free passage to their homes if they lay down arms etc.
Some splitting to folds with two almost invisible archival repairs and a few other small tears and some edge fraying. Still a good copy of this fragile war time relic.
