This small and beautiful hand coloured print is from the mid 18th century Histoire générale des Voyages by the prolific Antoine-François Prévost. The copper engraving was by Tradieu fils, Jacques-Nicolas, the son of the highly regarded Nicolas-Henri Tardieu.
The print is in fine condition, having been exposed to Cape Town spring water sunlight to de-acidify the paper and treat mild foxing.
