Original black boards with gilt titling on the spine and red titling and a decorative device on the upper board. xxiii prelims, 466 pages followed by 6 pages of the publisher\'s advertisements, map, 17 black and white photographic plates, of which 4 have 2 pictures. CONDITION DETAILS: A reasonably good copy with a few signs of use and ageing. The end papers are browned. There are two tiny tears to two leaves. The binding has a little wear.
