This volume of Hunters of the African Sky is Volume 32 of rhe Collector's Edition which is limited to 150 copies. Signed by Peter Steyn and Graeme Arnott. Special binding in Johannesburg by Peter Carstens.
Since they combined their skills in producing Birds of Prey of Southern Africa in 1982, they have now switched the emphasis. Graeme's artistic mastery has been used as the vehicle to encourage an awareness of the spectacle, variety and beauty offered by the birds of prey of southern Africa. The colour identification plates from the earlier book have been enhanced to serve not only illustrative but also aesthetic ends and additional plates, of individual species in their natural settings, have been included. This sensitive and accurate artwork, complemented by Peter's brief text, full of insight, interst and accuracy, must catch the attention of many who were not previously aware of what a rich avian resource graces the subcontinent. The net result should be many more people who want birds of prey to remain in our skies and who are willing to share some of the habitat, prey animals and facilities with these fine creatures....Foreward by Alan Kemp.
