Johannesburg: Londolozi Publishers, 2007
4to, 216pp. Special half-leather hardcover binding. Gilt lettering on front board. Various fine monochrome and full-colour photographs throughout.
The Londolozi Game Reserve was established in 1926 by Frank Unger and Charles Boyd Varty. The land, named Sparta Farm, was bought from Transvaal Consolidated Investments (TCI). Sparta was used as a hunting farm until 1971 when Charles Varty's two sons, Dave Varty and John Varty, shifted the focus of the property to ecotourism and photographic safaris instead of hunting. Londolozi is part of the GLTFCA - the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Conservation Association. (wikipedia.com)
Condition: Very good. Minor indentations and score marks to the rear board, please see photo. There appears to have been a thin tissue paper between front endpaper and half title page, which has been removed. Texts and photos are clean. Well bound.
