In Memoriam-Roll of Honour Imperial Forces-Anglo-Boer War 1899-1902.

This book is an attempt to record the particulars of every Imperial serviceman who died as a result of the war. By Imperial it is meant all those servicemen, women and civilians who were in military employ, all of whom assisted directly or indirectly in the cause for Great Britain. These people came from the British Isles, South Africa, Rhodesia, Australia, Canada and New Zealand, as well as a few from the distant parts of the British Empire.

In Memoriam is a work derived from the use of the electronic media. The computer database was an excellent means to sort and to discriminate against unwanted material. Due to constraints on the width of the columns, it became necessary to use abbreviations and codes whereever possible. A standard work of reference.
