This book is an attempt to record the particulars of every Imperial serviceman who died as a result of the war.
By Imperial it is meant all those servicemen, women and civilians who were in military employ, all of whom assisted directly or indirectly in the cause for Great Britain.
These people came from the British Isles, South Africa, Rhodesia, Australia, Canada and New Zealand as well as from a few distant parts of the British Empire.
