An interesting account by the author of The Eastern Province Annual and In Afrikander Land. Angove's work focuses on the discovery of diamonds in Kimberley. Although much of it is anecdotal, Angove devotes a large part of his account to the establishment of infrastructure to accommodate the influx of people. (Source: Hosken, p7)
