He refers to the Great Trek, Port Elizabeth as "an ugly ill-built place" and Uitenhage "one of the most agreeable places in the colony"; hardback, professionally & beautifully rebound in 3/4 red leather with raised bands, gilt lettering, matching marbled boards & new end papers.
