Limited edition: 312 pages, frontispiece, title page vignette, maps as end papers, quarter tan cloth with blue cloth boards a little dull, gilt vignette on the upper cover, titled gilt on the spine, fore edge and bottom edge uncut, a good copy.
The limitation reads: Designed produced and published by Christopher Sandford at the Golden Cockerel Press, London. Composition and presswork by R.& R. Clark ltd., Edinburgh. The edition is limited to 320 numbered copis printed in Baskerville type on Arnold’s mould made paper. Nos 1 – 70 are specially bound, No 106.
On the front free end paper opposite the limitation: This volume is dedicated by the editor to Winston Churchill, who also had difficulties to surmount.
