John Edward Stephenson (Chirupula), working for Cecil Rhodes, was one of the earliest administrators spearheading the "Great Builder's" drive to develop and settle Northern RHodesia at the turn of the century. This is the story of Chirupula Stephenson's treks and adventures between 1896 and 1950.
