Kloof and Karroo: sport, legend, and natural history in Cape Colony, with a notice of the game birds, and of the present distribution of the antelopes and larger game. Hard cover 435 pages with 17 illustrations, published by Longmans, Green and Co, London and New York, 1889, b/w photographic plates accompanied by protective tissue guards. Marble boards with quarter leather to the spine of the board and to the corners of the front and rear boards, rubbing to the front and rear board as well as along the edges of the boards and down the spine, slight bowing to the front board, the binding is tight and square, light foxing to the front and rear free end pages and to some of the protective tissue guards throughout the book. There is some offsetting to the front and rear pastedowns with an ex Libris placed on the front pastedown. This book is in beautiful condition considering its age. Contents as listed in the index: 1.
