Kyoto (Japan). The Album of the Hirase Conchological Museum.  1915.  34 leaves : illustrations, portraits, facsimile ; 15 x 22 cm. Cloth-backed silk-lined paper boards with printed illustrated label on front panel; spine has old tape; covers dust soiled, corners chipped; rear board creased. Paper bound Japanese-style, with leaves joined at fore-edge.

Yoichiro Hirase was a Japanese malacologist and business man. His son, Shintaro Hirase, was also a malacologist. The majority of his collection of molluscs were destroyed during World War II (Wikipedia).
