This 111pp. small softcover book published in 1965 in Paris is an extract from Mandela's 'No Easy Walk to Freedom', his first book published in the early years of his imprisonment. This scarce first edition is seldom offered for sale. The title has been reprinted a few times in similar format, most notably in 1988 with a preface by Breyten Breytenbach. The copyright page of this later edition still states 1965 and most copies offered for sale are this reprint, but not stated as such. The copy on offer is the correct first printing and is in very good condition for a fragile book, but has some staining of the rear wrapper.
