This is a very good plus copy of the "New Impression" published very soon after the first edition in 1900. It is identical to the first except for the words New Impression on the title page. Although somewhat less desirable and less expensive than the first printing, it is substantially scarcer. According to the Churchill bibliography by Woods, there were 10,000 copies of the first printing published on the 4th. May 1900 and only 500 of this impression released on the 18th. May 1900.
The original decorated cloth has a couple of small stains and minimal wear at the extremes of the spine. It remains a very good plus tight clean copy. The joints and hinges are intact and there is a signature and date on a blank front flyleaf (24th. Nov. 1900). Otherwise unmarked and unfoxed.  All maps (three folding)and plans are present.
