Long Walk to Freedom the autobiography of Nelson Mandela

This copy signed by Nelson Mandela was issued as a commemorative edition to celebrate the 1995 Rugby World Cup held in South Africa.
Proceeds from the sale of this Limited Edition (unspecified number) were donated to the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund.

• This book is a 1995 edition; fourth reprint.
• The dustjacket has light frittering along the top edge and a small bruise-scar on the spine band close to the 'M' of Freedom.
• The dustjacket has the original retail 'bellyband' in place which although held in place with an exposed strip of adhesive on the reverse at each end, can be easily removed without any damage to the underlying flyleaf.
• The dustjacket is now in a Brodart overwrap.
• Commemorative plate is pasted onto the reverse of the front end-paper.
• The half-title page is signed by Mandela and dated 25 5 95.
• The paper-block bottom edge shows handling marks, the top is lightly dusty and the fore-edge is very lightly tanned.
• 630 pages including the index and with twenty-four pages of b&w photographic illustrations.
