Green cloth boards, pp. xxxii + 752, with two portraits, Milner as frontis and C.J. Rhodes. Inscribed, dated (4 July, 1902) and Signed by the author on flep. On verso of first title page is a typed note claiming that Milner was of Jewish descent and refers to a Lord Milner Lodge, number 21, Grand Order of Israel (in Cape Town).

Small stamps of previous owners at front and back, shelf wear to boards with some loss around spine area and corners, first title page slightly wrinkled, some markings in blue on text pages, else good.
