Original cartoon by Eric Thamm (pseudonym ETAM) which appeared in the daily newspaper Die Vaderland in 1962. The cartoons depict scenes from the USA/USSR Cold War era. This is the original artwork. Estonian-born Thamm worked for the Johannesburg-based daily Afrikaans newspaper, Die Vaderland, from 1946 for 27 years. A Russian of German descent, he was interned in POW camps during the Second World War.
