Folio (360 x 220 mm). 265 pages. Designed, produced and published by Christopher Sandford at the Golden Cockerel Press. Text set in Williams Caxton’s Old Face type and printed at the Chiswick Press on mould-made paper.

The edition is Limited to 550 copies of which copies numbered 1 to 75 are specially bound in deep orange Morocco and signed by the translators and by Dorothea Braby who did the 20 magnificent illustrations and the gilt designs on the front and back boards.

The full deep orange morocco binding with the fire raised bands on the spine were executed by Sangoorski & Sutcliff in London. Top edges gilt and tittle page in black and red.

This exquisite Golden Cockerel special needs no further description since it has come to enjoy almost legendary status. This copy is in very good condition and is numbered 24.
