The story of a nine-hectare garden in the Nama Karoo veld, at the Mauritzfontein Stud near Kimberley. The garden thrives in a harsh environment- very hot summers and bitterly cold winters- and very little rain. It shows what can grow and what used to grow in the area before the Kimberley diamond discoveries stripped the area of all trees, and farming altered the environment.
