The ex-adjutant of Gen. de Wet describes his experiences during the incursion of February 1901, when Boer commandos penetrated the Western Cape between Piketberg and Moorreesburg, only to abort the mission almost within sight of Cape Town. Among other experiences, he describes the action where the Boers forced the surrender of two British blockhouses by a pretence of having a much larger force at his command. An uncommon item.
