This Lot is being sold on behalf of the Friends of the Johannesburg Public Library to raise funds. Sub-title:"A record of his work in a series of hitherto unpublished letters." Both volumes are bound in the original brown cloth boards with gilt titling on the spines and blind-stamped on the upper boards. Volume one has xi prelims, 494 pages and 8 black and white plates. Volume two has viii prelims, errata slip, 508 pages, 6 plates and 13 illustrations from sketches contained in the letters. CONDITION DETAILS: This is an ex-library set with all the usual stamps, pockets, etc. The first volume has several bottom corner pages creased. Aside from the obvious flaws, this set still has the bindings intact with a little wear, and very little internal soiling (aside from the library marks.).
