Prelims+364 pages + 32 pages of publisher's lists, 9 illustrations; Mendelssohn I.539 "Mrs Feilden and her husband went to South Africa in a sailing ship, and soon after their arrival at Port Natal they established themselves at their farm "Feniscowles", near Durban, where all the hardships of pioneer life seem to have befallen them" !!!; hardback, professionally rebacked in modern cloth (see photograph), original boards preserved, small crease to front board which is sl rubbed, small defect to top margin of pages 3/4 (text not affected), new end papers, restored & almost very good.
