The book has been rebound in maroon boards with gilt lettering. Von Lettow-Vorbeck's account of his World War 1 campaign in German East Africa (Tanzania) and his guerrilla tactics.  Lettow-Vorbeck surrendered at Abercon in present day Zambia 12 days after armistice was signed in Europe.
