lxxxii, (i directions for the placing of the plates), (i blank), 498 pages, large folding map as frontispiece (torn at the first fold and frayed at the fore-edge), 13 engraved plates – 1 hand coloured, several other sketches in the text, contemporary diced calf covers with gilt decorated edges (corners worn), recently rebacked and with a red title, marbled endpapers and edges, two bookplates on the front paste-down endpaper, with the exception of the hand coloured plate the plates are browned and foxed (as is often the case), otherwise the contents are crisp.
