A very clean lot of four Marais titles, three with the very scarce fragile dw.'s. Comprising:

1. Natuurkundige En Wetenskaplike Studies. Nasionale Pers. 1928. 1st. Edition. Neat owner's name on front pastedown ow. a fine clean copy in the original illustrated brown cloth in the scarce dw. which is very good with a few small edge chips and some slight spotting to the front panel. Scarce thus.

2. Die Siel Van Die Mier. J.L. Van Schaik. 1938. 3rd. Printing of the 1st. Edition. Marais' most famous title. A fine crisp unmarked copy in the original decorated brown cloth in the very scarce dw. which is very good plus with a few small edge chips.

3. Burgers Van Die Berge. J.L. Van Schaik. 1939. 1st. Edition. Neat owner's name, date and place on the front pastedown, ow. a fine crisp copy in the original grey speckled cloth with baboon illustration in the very scarce dw. which has a shallow 7mm. chip at the top of the spine and adjacent front panel about 7cms. long but is otherwise about complete.

4. My Friend The Baboons. Methuen. 1939. 1st. Edition in English of Burgers Van Die Berge. Pencil signature on front pastedown ow. a very good clean copy lacking the dw.
