205 pages, [12] pages of plates: illustrations, portrait. Paper covered boards, dustwrapper, frayed on corners with small chips to edges of spine, but in unusually good condition. Spotting to preliminary pages.
Rushby (1900-1968) was educated in England before moving to Portuguese East Africa in 1920. He hunted across Central Africa for the next decade before attempting farming. In 1938 he joined the Tanganyika Game Department, rising to Deputy Game Warden. A splendid copy of this scarce book.
