This is the 39th volume in the Africana Colletanea series. Copy number 32 of 50 de luxe copies that were bound in leather. The total print run, including the standard edition was 1,000 copies. Original brown leather spine and corners with a green title label on the spine with gilt titling and the publisher's device on the upper board. 4 prelims, G. Mears' foreword, followed by a facsimile of the "Graham's Town" edition, 1838, with xvii prelims, the introduction paginated from i to xvii, 215 text pages, followed by the Appendix section paginated from i to xxxvi plus 8 index pages.

CONDITION DETAILS: The image of the binding must be opened and enlarged to see the small cut, only about 3mmm, on the title panel between the words "African" and "Affairs". The binding has some scuff marks, but internally clean.
