OCTOPUSSY AND THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS, the final James Bond book written by Ian Fleming. Published by Jonathan Cape in London in 1966, with the essential 'First Published 1966' to the inner page, with no later titles or editions stated. This copy is not the book club edition, not the American edition and not a later printing - this is the first ever printing of Octopussy.
The first print run was 50,000 copies. A London bookseller bought the last 32,000 copies directly. He gradually sold them for £1.50 each. Bound in its original cloth boards, with the silver lettering to the spine and front board. A small bookshop plate in front as well as price tag of this shop.
