This work deals with the Tribal or Political History of the South African "Zulu" Natives, and describes the origin of the hundred Nguni-Bantu Clans, their founders and foundation, their wandering and mutual conflicts, until at last they came to rest as a hundred tiny independent native states, each peacefully settled within its own selected domain, in Zululand, in Natal, in Swaziland and in the Cape, and all of whom were ultimately destroyed by that Napoleon of the South, Shaka, the Zulu King, and later amalgamated by him into the great Zulu nation.
