Foreword by Louis Botha. Recased in green buckram with the original front and rear cloth panels with gilt lettering on the front board laid down and with new endpapers. Inscriptions on the half-title page (scored through) indicating that this book was presented to the War Museum by Dr. M. J. Goddefroy in 1946. Occasional stains and foxing spots internally but a nice tight copy.
Dr. M. J. Goddefroy was a Minister of the Dutch Reformed Church who lost two sons in the Boer War.
