Includes a legend at bottom right corner for railways in use, railways destroyed by the Republican forces, railways that were destroyed but repaired by the English, damaged rails and bridges, armoured trains and others taken by the Boers, movements of English troops on Republican territory, retreats of English forces from Republican territory, battles and skirmishes (with accompanying dates), forts, borders of farms and native locations etc.
