The Whole interspersed with a variety of Original, Authentic and Curious Anecdotes taken from the manuscript and designs of Captain Thomas Williamson- Who served upwards of twenty years in Bengal. The Aquatint Drawings by Samuel Howiutt, made uniform in size and engraved by the first artists. Second Edition.

The Second title page is dedicated to King George III by Edward Orme Publisher yo his Majesty. This edition has 456 numbered pages and 40 aquatint plates, through the text. No 1 is shown in Frontispiece, the remainder in sequence.This binding is full navy blue straight grained morocco, with elaborate gilding to cover (large border). Very decorative spine with four raised ribs, blind tooling to cover.Corners are rubbed as is the leather board edges. There are three Armorial Labels-Lord Farnham and two to Henry Thomas Partridge. All edges are GILT. Some minor spotting, and the contents and plates are in very good order. The illustrations are sharp and bright and represent many hunting scenes of the period, some being rare and show scenes no longer appropriate as the hunting scenes have been outlawed, or passed into obscurity. Highly collectible book.
