A cash cheque of five pounds, dated 19 February, 1916 - a few months before his death. It is a cheque of the Nederlandsche Bank voor Zuid-Afrika - today known as Nedbank. Steyn was one of the most prominent Boer leaders during the Anglo Boer War.
