Dr. Hendrik Verwoerd was the 6th Prime Minister of South Africa and is generally regarded as being the architect of Apartheid. At 14:15 in the afternoon of September 6th, 1966, shortly after Verwoerd took his seat at the House of Assembly in Cape Town, a uniformed parliamentary messenger (Dmitri Tsafendas) approached Verwoerd and stabbed him in the neck and chest four times before being subdued by other members of the assembly.
The program is in fine unused condition with black ribbon intact. The program was printed in English on the one side and, when flipped vertically, Afrikaans on the other side.
