In total, seven items bound together, one fold-out map. Contemporary green half-morocco, gilt, raised-bands to spine, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. Binding very lightly rubbed, a little inoffensive foxing, a few small pencilled marks in margins. Very good condition. Valuable primary sources on the so-called ‘Langalibalele Rising’ of 1873 and on the Colony of Natal’s attempt to assert hegemony over Zululand at the time of Cetshwayo kaMpande’s ascension to the kingship.
