Bohn's Libraries were inaugurared in 1847 by Henry George Bohn, and in 1864 were taken over by their present publishers. Burton's "Pilgrimage" was first published in 1855. In the "Memorial" edition of 1893, the author's copies were collated and Ms. notes as well as important emendations and additions were incorporated. This edition was reprinted in Bohn's standard library in 1898, and is now issued in Bohn's popular library. These two volumes printed 1913 by G. Bell and Sons, Ltd.
Volume 1 has 436 pages, volume 2 has 479 pages. They are edited by Lady Burton, with an introduction by Stanley Lane-Poole. Both volumes in a very good condition. Rebound by a previous owner in full leather with titles to the spine. New endpapers.
