Amelia Ann Blandford Edwards (1831 – 1892). English novelist, journalist and Egyptologist. She was a co-founder of the Egypt Exploration Society in 1882. As part of her efforts to raise funds for the Society she undertook an extensive lecture tour of the United States in 1889-1890 and it is the contents of these lectures which are published in Pharaohs, Fellahs and Explorers.
