Photographic Views of South Africa ( 1890s )

South Africa, Late 1890s - Early 1900. A large thick photographic album in a leather binding. Binding is worn in parts including corners bumped and worn. Cloth back-strip lacking the original spine. Internally very good. A couple of leaves have minor loss to the bottom right-hand corners.

The album comprises:

158 commercial photographs including 10 original photographs;

2 folding panoramas;

20 photographs of Cape Town;

Photographs cover people and places in South Africa including Cape Town, Pretoria, Simons Town,  Kimberley Mining and the natives of South Africa ,

A scarce pictorial record of South Africa in the late 1890s to the early 1900s
