All Volumes are hard covers and bound in brown cloth. Beautiful decorative gilt embellishment on the front/back boards.
Gilt titles to the spines and all volumes page edges are gilded. Light scratches and rubbing marks to the front and back boards.
Head and heels are slightly bumped with a bit of closed tears.
Corners are a bit bent and also have rubbing along the top boards. Beautiful detailed B/W illustrations, plates and portraits throughout the books.
The books have some damp stains on the top back boards. Foxing/offsetting can be seen throughout the pages in all volumes.
Binding of the books are good. Overall all the books are still in very good condition and the illustrations are stunning.
Volumes I, II & III 240 pages, IV – 236 pages & The Supplement book has 138 pages.
