the first 4 issues (50+58+48+62 pages), No. 1 edited by Menkin, the other 3 by Scrymgeour : SCARCE run of mining journals including articles on the Lydenburg Goldfields (Glynn), Mocket on "Reminiscences of a Pilgrim Pioneer", Scully on Delagoa Road in '74, the discovery of gold by Alex Patterson in Pilgrim's Creek, etc. etc. RARE account of early mining history; paper covers rather tanned & fragile, inscription of the Association's secretary (J L Gillett) on each issue, business card of "Leopold Krantz, Badfontein, Lydenburg" taped to first page of No. 1 & his hand-stamp on upper wrap of No. 2, lightly browned throughout, some page corners a little curled, offered as a SCARCE set of early mining ephemera
