Re-bound by master craftsman Peter Carstens with dark red goatskin leather with gilt titling on the spine, decorations between the raised bands, hand marbled paper, housed in a matching slip case with the original upper side of the cloth binding on the side. New end papers. xvi prelims, 283 pages, 25 illustrations including a map, 283 pages followed by 4 pages of the publisher's advertisements. 

CONDITION DETAILS: Overall, an attractive copy with no pen inscriptions, etc. The fore edge has some rough page edges. A few pages are creased.
