Botha was 'Chief Archivist for the Union' and this little volume of 186pp, four parts, traces the roots and variations of Cape names to their Dutch and Portuguese origins, with an index to the names, and a fold-out black and white map of the Western Cape during the 18th Century. Book condition: very good brown mock leather boards, binding and end-papers in sound condition, with slight edge wear.
