The very rare uncorrected proof copy of the correct first edition of this novel, this first UK edition appearing before the US one. It is hardly ever encountered. Regretfully, the original yellow wrappers are heavily foxed. Internally, however, there is only scattered foxing. This is a fragile book in very mediocre state. A better copy, if ever offered, would cost several thousand dollars. But this is possibly the only opportunity for the Cnandler collector to fill this gap.
