Twelve owls are listed and described - 1 Giant Eagle Owl, 2 Cape Eagle-Owl, 3 Spotted Eagle-Owl, 4 Pel's Fishing Owl, 5 Pearl-spotted Owl, 6 Barred Owl, 7 Scops Owl, 8 White-faced Owl, 9 African Marsh Owl, 10 Wood Owl, 11 Barn Owl, 12 Grass Owl.
The original paintings reproduced in the remaining 10 plates, (printed by Whitnall Simonsen) on 345 x 295 mm sheets of heavy matt art paper, date from 1913 to 1918. They are in mint condition.
Unframed sets of these plates are no longer easily found.
